First, I want to say thank you to South Coast Records for bringing me onto this already
amazing team. I look forward to showing and doing exactly what I know and know well, Music.
I was born in Billings, Montana..at a very young age was handed a guitar, then drums, then sax,
then Piano..music became a part of my life all through school, and I knowingly could have
gone into a big music school, instead my life took me many places. To the beatmakers
in South Central, Los Angeles, to the Jazz Clubs of New Orleans, and all of this before the age
of 19. My goals became clear, Music..was going to be a part of my life forever. and I will
see to it, that I never fail it. I have toured around the Country as a drummer, and as a singer
for the Swinging Richards (drums) and for the Stereo Typikalz (producer ,singer,songwriter,
performer) I have sold enough albums to be recognized by the AMA and never had to
see the grammy's to be proven successful. I am currently still playing with a duo called
Finding Scarlett, and we are just now starting as of 2011. That is that part of my life..
As for South Coast Records, I will say it this way.. There are two kinds of musicians. The
ones who are playing for a hobby..which means they work a steady job, and play on
weekends, make a few hundred dollars extra a month, and are happy with that. Playing
cover songs, maybe a few originals. And then, there are what I call lifers. I am a lifer.
A lifer does not mind working a job, but will not at all pretend they wont succeed in the music
business. They work at the music business an extra 40 hours a week just to find new ears,
and shake new hands, open new doors. They do not snicker at other artists because they
think they are better. They accept the fact there may never have the mansion, but love the taste
of survival through music..and would die broke for music, rather than rich and outplayed..Lifers
have a dream, and that dream is simple, get heard, and deliver your music to the public. Thats
where I am going to come in. I am going to help with my connections and love for South Coast's
music to start moving that music to new places and ears, I will be involved in Public Relations
I will have ideas for exposure that work, and also help build this entire unit to what it deserves.
We will have tours, we will have the benefits of what music does when it is doing its job. I
will be a groundsman, a webman, a spokesman, and a gentleman. Through music we all
have a common desire. If you want to be rich, get the F*** out of the business..if you want
to stay true to your song, then that song will take you where you want to be. There is a
science to music..it demands respect..so we shall give it that, all while building up to success.
I believe in South Coast Records, and its artists. And that, I will represent daily.
